Fast setting plaster of Paris bandages, with extremely short
immersion time.
Features
Consists of plain-weave gauze fabric coated with blend of alpha and beta calcium sulfate crystals.
Benefits
•
Immersion time is 2 to 3 seconds.
•
Excellent molding ability.
•
Initial setting time of 3 to 4 minutes at immersion water temperature of 70° F (20° C.)
•
Can carefully support weight after 30 minutes.
•
Very low plaster loss.
•
When completely hardened it provides high strength with low bandage consumption.
Indications
•
Suitable under traditional plaster of Paris casts and all types of synthetic casts in the
treatment of fractures or orthopedic conditions
•
Also suitable for use with splinting material or other situations where padding is required
•
Provides cushioned protection of the injured extremities
