metal fatigue and stress placed on the various pivotal points of an exhaust system. When the vehicle

is in motion, on uneven road surfaces and changing gears, vibration inevitably contributes to

untimely breakages to the manifold, front pipes and exhaust system. The Exhaust Vibration Balancer

We’ve Extended Our Warranty

Extensive research was done on various vehicles under different conditions to test the effects an

installed Exhaust Vibration Balancer would have on both the engine and exhaust systems. During

1996 / 1997 the Viböls were fitted to 10 Mercedes Benz concrete mixing trucks and monitored on a

weekly bases for a period of 18 months.

Parts tested in view of determining the warranty period after the Viböl fitment:

Correct Fitment , Optimum Positioning, Engine Torque, Engine Reverse Torque, Engine Forward and

Rear Tilt, Vibration experienced on the Engine with new Engine Mountings, The Exhaust System

Hanger brackets (movements), Gear change and load differentiation, Full load configuration and

movements of the entire system, Idling and Offload and loading modes, Heat Exchange throughout

the system, Temperatures and pressures, Noise level differentiation, Sealing ability and durability,

Turbo functions and temperatures, Exhaust Break Functions and temperatures for effectiveness.

Net Result after 18 months:

Sealing ability and graphite formation was 100%. Flexibility as to adverse conditions, engine

mounting and hanger brackets showed no signed of strain. Turbo temperature was reduced by 9 to

11 degrees Celsius. Overall engine temperature drop by 7 degrees under adverse operating

conditions. Decibels rating dropped by 6 db. Back pressure relief - 40% less than normal back

pressure experienced. Pressure flow rate increased hence the drop in temperature.

Conclusions:

*The Viböl harmonizes all known movements and enhances the emission gas flow and relieves drag and friction in the system by

absorbing the spike energy through pulsation and the Viböls unique spring arrangement. It was conclusively established that a two year

warranty period could be offered from this test. Further tests continued up to the 4 ½ year mark which proved that even under severe

conditions the Viböl's intended functions could realistically be lengthened to a five year life cycle before replacement should be considered.

It was also established that the Viböl protected the rest of the exhaust system and extends its longevity in general. (Given that the rest of
