“Talk to any truck or bus owner about the main technical operation problems and
most likely the ongoing difficulties encountered with flex joints in trucks and
buses between the engine and exhaust system will figure prominently.”
Flex technology, which dates back to the 1950's, is basically a stainless steel
spiral and is known to often crack, leak and break. Sometimes it has to be
replaced after only eight months of operation. Now there is a new
breakthrough solution:
The new Viböl
Exhaust Vibration Balancer
is as revolutionary as it is of a completely different design. Patented
worldwide, the design is fairly simple and is an extremely cost effective
alterative. The Exhaust Vibration Balancer is the first successful and
affordable product of its kind to ever appear on the market. Viböl, the
trademark, is derived from Exhaust Vibration Balancer, which describes the
motion that balances the vibration, torque and road shocks between the engine of
the vehicle and the exhaust system.

Vibration
caused by diesel engines is the major contributing factor to metal fatigue and
stress placed on pivotal joints on an exhaust system. When the vehicle is in
motion, uneven road surfaces and gear changes are further contributors to
untimely breakages to the manifold, front pipes and exhaust system. The Viböl
has the properties to swivel 17 degrees in any given direction, whereas the
flex, spiral and slip joint arrangements presently being used are very limited
in their intended application. The new Viböl design has not only proven to
reduce fuel bills, breakages and downtime, but has also increased engine power
and durability.
