VöA
was recognized by Don Evans, U. S. Secretary of Commerce
as an example of a successful USA/South African business
partnerships. During his comments, Secretary Evans, and
the written comments by Johnny Brown, Minister Counselor
for U. S. Commercial Service said: “ VöA represents the
true American small entrepreneurial spirit by investing
and engaging in international trade with South Africa.
The Bush administration endorses, and is highly
supportive, of such efforts.” Both Evans and Brown
authorized their offices to assist VöA in attracting
government contracts and sales.
Cape
Town –
John Anderson, CEO of Enterprise Florida visited South
Africa and held a press conference at the Viböl
facility, along with executives of Trade and Investment
South Africa and the Western Cape Province economic
development agency, to announce the venture between VoA
and Viböl of South Africa. The conference was attended
by many of the press, which resulted in much press
coverage on our project. Additionally, the
May 20, 2002 issue of the
Miami Herald’s Business Monday featured an article
on VoA and CEO, Sherwood DuBose.
Miami –
Sherwood DuBose, CEO, who manages the sales operations
of VöA, announce that the first orders of Vibols arrived
at North American Bus Industries (transit bus
manufacturer) on April 15th for over 270 new
Miami-Dade and Cleveland Ohio Transit Buses. As a
result of the sales efforts of DuBose and Paul St. John
(Florida Detroit Diesel-Allison’s Viböl Sales Manager),
orders have been placed by: Hartline, Tampa; Broward
Transit and Engine & Accessory Airline, Miami.
