Dermacoll
Dermacoll™ is a gelatin free hydrocolloid adhesive wound dressing
laminated to a semi- permeable, anti-bacterial and waterproof polyurethane
film backing. Individually packed and sterilized by radiation.
Dermacoll™ Comfort has an adhesive polyurethane film border.
Dermacoll™ Thin has lower absorption capacity to use during epithelialization phase.
Dermacoll™ forms a gel upon absorbing wound exudes providing a moist wound environment
supporting granulation an epithelialization. Gel formation prevents Dermacoll™ from adhering to
wounds and the dressing can be removed without causing pain and without damaging the
granulation and epithelial tissue.

Indications
•
Suitable for moist wound care used to treat light to moderately exuding wounds, second
degree burns, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, chronic slow healing wounds and abrasions.
•
Used also for the treatment of blisters.
Contraindications
Dermacoll™ should not be used on third degree burns nor on exposed muscle, bones and tendons
nor on infected wounds.
